The School Science Project
Sara and her friends have a big science project. Their teacher wants them to study plants. Sara’s group decides to grow beans in the classroom. They want to see how plants grow every day.
First, they plant the beans in small pots. They put soil in the pots and put the beans inside. Every day, Sara waters the plants carefully. She uses a small cup to give the right amount of water.
After a few days, the beans start to grow. Little green leaves come out of the soil. Sara writes down notes and draws pictures in her science notebook. Her friends also help by measuring the plants.
One day, Sara notices that some plants are taller than others. She talks to her friends and they think about why this happens. They learn that plants need light, water, and good soil to grow well.
Sara’s group makes a chart to show their results. They draw the plants in different stages. On the day of the project presentation, Sara feels proud. She explains to the class how plants grow and what they learned.
The teacher is happy and says, "Great job! You did a wonderful experiment." Sara and her friends smile. They are excited to learn more about science next time.
