Tom and the Little Puppy

Tom is a little boy. He is seven years old. One day, Tom goes to the park. He sees a small puppy near a tree. The puppy is brown and white. It looks very happy.

Tom walks to the puppy. "Hello, puppy!" he says. The puppy wags its tail. Tom smiles and pets the puppy gently. Suddenly, the puppy runs away. Tom runs after it.

The puppy goes to a big pond. It wants to drink water. Tom is careful and stands near the water. He calls the puppy, "Come here, puppy!" The puppy comes back to Tom.

Tom sees that the puppy has a collar. The collar has a name: "Max." Tom wants to take Max home. But first, he looks for Max’s owner. He asks people in the park, "Do you know Max?"

A woman hears Tom. She says, "Yes! Max is my dog. Thank you for finding him." The woman smiles. She takes Max’s leash and pets him.

Tom feels happy. He says, "Max is a very nice puppy." The woman thanks Tom again. Tom waves goodbye and goes home. That day, Tom learns to be kind to animals.
